Do you think the members of Leek Wars speak a strange language?
You may have followed a chat discussion like: "My hazard map doesn't handle AOE.".
Here is a small lexicon that should help you to dialogue with the natives.
Game abbreviations
- **AoE**: The Area of Effect.
- agi: Agility improves the effectiveness of deflection chips and increases the chance of critical hits.
- CAC: Body to Body. Situation where opponents are very close to each other.
- characteristics: The characteristics of leeks, such as Life Points or Strength
- CH: Critical Hit, special hit boosted by 30% compared to a standard hit.
- DDD: Deliberate Deactivation of Challenge (or Discreet Imbalance of Challenge). The basic principle is to detect the type of match and in the event of a challenge, to stop its AI.
- GCTU: getCellsToUse. Refers to the results of the getCellsToUseChip and getCellsToUseWeapon functions.
- HP: Health points, alternate name of Life Points, or Points de Vie in French (PV).
- HL: high level. Said of leeks around level 300.
- AI: artificial intelligence. Refers to the program that defines the behavior of your leek in combat. For more details: LeekScript.
- libé: Liberation, a tactical chip unlocked at level 80.
- LoS: Line Of Sight
- LS: LeekScript (the Leek Wars programming language). For more details: LeekScript Tutorial.
- lvl: level. Leeks start at level 1 and can progress up to level 301, which allows you to use new chips, get more capital... For more details: Tutorial by level.
- LW: Leek Wars.
- popo: potion (color or reset).
- MP: movement points. Allow leeks to move around the map. For details: PM.
- TP: turn points. Allow leeks to perform actions during their turn. For details: TP.
- LP: life points. Refers to the number of life points of a leek. For more details: Life Points.
- resi: Resistance, improves the effectiveness of shields.
- TP: Teleportation, a tactical chip unlocked at level 150.
- xp: experience gained by the leeks at the end of the fights.
- PP: Profile Picture, the farmer's avatar on his profile.
- OTK: One turn kill.
- OS: One shot. Killing with one blow.
Jargon
- boost or buff: improvement of the characteristics of a leek thanks to the use of a chip.
- bulb: some chips allow leeks to have summons, called "Bulbs". For more details: Bulbs.
- damage map: this is a table where you store the damage you are likely to do depending on the squares you are going to.
- danger card: used to estimate what might happen to us if we are on a given space at the end of our turn.
- accessible cells: set of cells on the ground that a leek can reach (from the square where it is and taking into account the movement points it has).
- hinder: this is the opposite of a boost (decrease in the characteristics of a leek, obtained through magic).
- habs: this is the currency of Leek Wars. Habs (earned from battles) allow you to buy new weapons, chips, potions or hats at the Market.
- capital points: increase the characteristics (strength, wisdom, etc.) of your leek. For more details: Distribute its capital.
- turn points: allow leeks to perform actions during their turn. For details: PT.
- movement points: allow leeks to move on the map. For details: PM.
- recovery: number of turns to wait before being able to reuse a chip. For more details: recovery.
- restat: use a reset potion to change the distribution of your capital points.
- area of effect: set of cells that will be affected by the use of a weapon or a chip.
