Battle Royales are a new game mode based on 10-player fights in 'every man for his own skin' mode, so there are 10 teams of 1 player on the field, opening up new possibilities for AIs.
You can join from level 50, and the leeks are divided into 4 levels: level 50 to 99, 100 to 199, 200 to 299, and 300/301. Just go to the vegetable garden on the Battle Royale tab and select a leek. You thus enter the room corresponding to your level landing and see the other leeks waiting. Once 10 leeks are registered, the fight begins!
Potency is a new characteristic on entities which intervenes in the calculation of damage (direct, poison, life_damage or nova_damage) and which acts as a global multiplier of the final value of a damage. So we have the formula:
damage = damage_item * (1 + strength / 100) * (1 + power / 100) (replace strength with magic for poisons or science for nova_damage) In summary: 50 power = +50% damage, 100 power = +100% or x2 damage
The power gain rules in BR are as follows:
At the end of each game turn, all living entities (leeks or bulbs) gain 2 power to infinity. Each kill offers 10 power for a leek and 2 for a bulb + 50% of the power accumulated by the victim. Moreover, this power effect is irreducible. An irreducible effect cannot be removed by Release. It is indicated by a modifier EFFECT_MODIFIER_IRREDUCTIBLE.
The getPower function associated with this mechanism is used to retrieve the current power of an entity. Note that the power effect of the BR is given by a fictitious item with ID 0.
Another thing to watch out for in BR: if you kill someone with punishment, you gain 10 power + half of the target's accumulated power. This power gain being at the end of the first damage, it is effective for the second damage! So be careful to calculate the second damage with the potential gain in power linked to the kill of your target.
