The resistance increases the effectiveness of the Chips with a shield effect. See Effects.
Absolute Shield reduces the damage dealt by a certain amount, while Relative Shield reduces it by a certain percentage.
Final Absolute Shield = Base Absolute Shield * (1 + Resistance / 100)
Final Relative Shield = Base Relative Shield * (1 + Resistance / 100)
Thus, with 100 Resistance, the protection is doubled, with 200, it is tripled and so on.
The final damage is calculated as follows:
FinalDamage = BaseDamage * (1 - RelativeShield / 100) - AbsoluteShield
Depending on the amount of capital spent on Resistance, the Resistance/Capital ratio changes:
Added resistance Resistance/Capital ratio
Added resistance 1 Capital for 2 points of Resistance
200 1 Capital for 1 point of Resistance
400 2 Capital for 1 point of Resistance
600 3 Capital for 1 point of Resistance
