Erosion was introduced in update 1.98, on June 1, 2017.
Read on to understand what erosion is and "how does it work?"
Erosion is an effect of its own in Leek Wars: it comes from dealing damage to an enemy.
It is not directly visible on screen, but it is very much there in the game.
It takes the form of a decrease in maximum life points.
Maximum life decreases when the entity takes damage.
Regular damage (EFFECT_DAMAGE, EFFECT_LIFE_DAMAGE, EFFECT_DAMAGE_RETURN and EFFECT_AFTEREFFECT)
Erosion from regular damage is calculated as follows:
Note that absolute and relative shields reduce the effect (except for EFFECT_DAMAGE_RETURN and EFFECT_AFTEREFFECT damage, which ignores shields), since erosion is calculated on the damage the leek actually takes.
Poison damage (EFFECT_POISON) Erosion from poison damage (linked to Magic) is calculated differently from the previous two:
This makes fights a bit shorter and makes investing in life points more worthwhile, while also making poisons more effective.
Also, the Armoring chip and the other chips that give Max Life become more useful.
