About this chip

Seven-League Boots increases the movement points of the target, which can only be an ally (a summon or a leek), and of its neighbors in the area (allies as well). This chip only has an effect when used on an ally, so there's no risk of boosting an opponent's MP by mistake. You can also use it on an empty cell with useChipOnCell to boost a nearby ally through the area of effect. The usual area of effect penalty still applies, though, so the resulting buff will be smaller.

How it works

Main article: TP and MP buffs

You may have noticed that this chip adds a non-integer amount of MP: between 0.4 and 0.5. In reality, the game only uses whole numbers of MP, so the number of MP added is always rounded to the nearest integer. The effect of Seven-League Boots is boosted by the science of the leek using the chip. To find out how many MP this chip adds depending on the science of the leek using it, see the following table: Caster's science | MP added (when used directly on the entity) --------|---------- 0 to 24 | 0 or 1 25 to 199 | 1 200 to 274 | 1 or 2 275 to 399 | 2 400 to 524 | 2 or 3 525 to 599 | 3 600 to 774 | 3 or 4 775 to 799 | 4 800 and up | 4 or more

When the table says "1 or 2" (for example), the higher the caster's science, the more likely you are to get 2 rather than 1.

Usage

This chip has a fairly long range, a handy area of effect and a cooldown shorter than its duration. That makes it perfect for boosting your whole team! Be careful, though: the effect doesn't stack, so if you use it while the effect is still active, the old effect is replaced and you "lose" a turn of effect (it will only have lasted two turns instead of three).
