The Double gun arrives at Level 45 and offers an interesting alternative to the Pistol. It inflicts more damage in 2 shots than the Pistol in 3. You will even have 2 TP left for a Shock or a Bandage.
Nevertheless, it will be necessary to pay attention to its minimum range. The Double gun cannot shoot in melee, you will have to avoid sticking your opponent with this weapon.
Another weakness, its damage is spread over 2 effects, of different natures: an ordinary damage effect, and a Poison effect.
Damage per TP: 4.5 to 6.25 for the first effect, 1.75 to 2.5 for the second for two turns. In total, therefore, 8 to 11.25 (but part of which does not apply immediately).

Poison damage is damage over time: it does not apply when you poison a target, but at the start of its next turns. Thus, in the case of the Double gun, you will first inflict ordinary damage (those of the first effect), then poison damage at the start of your target's next two turns.
Poison damage is also not amplified by Strength but by Magic, according to the formula:
total_damage = base_damage * (1 + getMagic() / 100)
Shields do not apply to poison damage, and there is no equivalent. However, effects can be weakened or removed using chips that you will encounter later, Liberation and Antidote.
