A team is a group of up to 50 farmers that lets them fight together, in a separate game mode, against other teams. The leeks of all the farmers are split into compositions: a composition must have 2 to 6 leeks to be able to fight, and at least 4 for Tournaments.
"Team fights" is a loose term: they are really fights between 2 team compositions, so up to 6 leeks against up to 6 other leeks. In these fights, besides the leeks, each side also has a turret. To win, you have to kill all the enemy leeks, or destroy their turret, which ends the fight immediately.
If you don't have a team, you can join an existing one. You can check the forum for teams that are recruiting, or go to the team overview page. Once you have found a team you like, you can apply to it. To do so, go to the team's page by clicking it from any page:
Once on the team's page, click "Join this team"
Your request will be visible to the team's captains, who must accept it for you to become part of the team.
If you want to leave your current team, you can do so at any time by clicking "Leave the team" at the very bottom of your Team page.
To create a team, you must not already be in one. Go to your farmer page by clicking your profile in the top right corner. You should see a button like the one below to create a team.
You must enter an available team name; if the name is already taken, an error message will tell you.
**Note: you can now change your team's name afterwards.**
A team has several levels of rights:
As the owner of a team, you have several responsibilities that only you have the rights for:
You can give captain rights to any farmer in your team. To do so, click the pencil in the top right corner of your team's farmers panel
New options will appear under each farmer: in the drop-down list that says "Member" you can change this value to "Captain"
In the same way that you can give a farmer captain rights, you can also take them away and make them a member again.
In that same farmers panel, in edit mode, there is a "Ban" button if you want to dismiss a farmer.
If you are the team owner, at the very bottom of the page you have more buttons than just the one for leaving the team. These buttons manage the team's settings and are reserved for you alone. Here they are.
Guess what happens when you click it? That's right, you can now rename your team!
If you are no longer interested in the team owner's responsibilities, you can hand them over to another farmer of your choice in the team. To do so, go to the very bottom of the "Team" page and click "Change owner" A popup will then ask you to choose the new owner
This button sets the team's main language. You can only choose one.
If you want to delete your team, you first have to dismiss all of its members (see "Dismissing a farmer" above), then click "Disband the team" at the very bottom of the page
As a captain or owner, you are responsible for managing the team's compositions. All changes to a composition are made with the buttons in its top right corner.
You can create a new composition by clicking "Create a composition"
A popup will ask you to enter the name of the new composition.
If it is not registered for a tournament, you can edit your composition by clicking the pencil in its top right corner. You can then drag and drop leeks into or out of the composition, depending on whether you want to add or remove a leek. Careful: a composition can never hold more than 6 leeks, not even temporarily! If you want to move a leek to a composition higher up the page, you can't pass it through a composition that is already full.
You can click the cross in the top right corner of a composition to delete it. A confirmation popup will ask you to confirm your choice before the composition is deleted.
You can enter your composition in team tournaments by clicking the "Register" link. Unlike the Garden, where a composition needs at least 2 leeks, a tournament requires at least 4 leeks. If your composition is already registered and you want to unregister it, an "Unregister" link appears in place of the registration link. Once registered, the composition can no longer be edited. Note: you can't unregister a composition between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. (server time), so you can't edit it during that time either.
