Leek Wars is an online programming game. Every player raises a leek and writes the artificial intelligence that makes it fight: nobody plays by hand, fights run on their own, and the quality of the code decides the winner. Everything happens in a browser, with nothing to install, in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript or LeekScript, the game's own language.
Leek Wars offers the possibility to create and manage a group of players with more advanced features than the base game. Ideal if you are:
Create your demo group, then email us from your school address: we activate it for your class, free of charge.
No. A tutorial guides beginners step by step, and the starter code already works: you improve it line by line. A participant who has never programmed launches their first fight within minutes.
Python, JavaScript or TypeScript, as well as LeekScript, the game's own language. The language is chosen per participant, so a mixed-ability group can work together.
None. The supervisor creates the accounts and chooses the credentials: no email address and no real name are needed. Pseudonyms are fine, and the group chat can be disabled.
Yes, you can assign a level and equipment to participants, and optionally lock them so they stay identical throughout the event.
To discover the game, start with the Leek Wars home page, or browse the encyclopedia, which documents the weapons, the chips and the language functions.
