Computes the average of the interval.

• If the interval is bounded on both the left and the right, returns (intervalMin(i) + intervalMax(i)) / 2.
• If the interval is bounded only on the left, returns +∞.
• If the interval is bounded only on the right, returns -∞.
• If the interval is unbounded or empty, returns NaN.
