Presentation of the chip ---

Slowing down allows you to remove movement points from the target, which can be useful, for example, to hide, to prevent an opponent from joining his allies or to prevent him from fleeing. Like all impediments, it is affected by the caster's magic. Also note that this chip has no cooldown: you can cast it multiple times per turn.

Functioning

Main article: Obstacles

You must have noticed that this chip removes little MP: between 0.3 and 0.4. In reality, the game only deals with integer values of MP, so the number of MP removed by the chip is always rounded up. So if your leek has no magic, this chip will always remove 0 MP, i.e. it will do nothing. To find out how many MPs will be removed depending on the caster's magic, you can refer to the following table: Magic | Amount of MP removed ----------|-------------- under 24 | 0 25 to 66 | 0 or 1 67 to 274 | 1 275 to 399 | 1 or 2 400 to 524 | 2 525 to 733 | 2 or 3 734 to 774 | 3 775 to 960 | 3 or 4

When the table says "1 or 2" (for example), the higher the caster's Magic value, the higher the chance of rolling 2 rather than 1.

Use

Preventing the opponent from moving or at least reducing his MP can be quite effective if it prevents him from hiding, or if it allows an ally (a bulb, for example), to come and hit him, or even in many other cases.
