The Machine Gun arrives at level 8. Its damage is indeed higher than the Pistol's, but it costs 4 TP to use.
Low-level leeks and their 10 TP will be able to deal 60 to 90 damage, compared to 45 to 60 with the Pistol. In return, it gives you far fewer shooting options: it only has a maximum range of 6, and can only fire in a line!
The Machine Gun is the perfect weapon to complement the Pistol, but it requires a suitable AI to line up with the opponent and deal heavy damage.
It is an extremely effective weapon against an enemy without a shield; however, it is easily countered by an absolute shield, which reduces each instance of damage.
Damage per TP: 2.5 to 3.75 (three times), so 7.5 to 11.25 in total
