Laser Level 38
The Laser introduces a new kind of AoE: Lasers.
When you use a laser weapon, you aim at a target, but in truth your leek is only firing in a direction. Which cells the laser hits depends on its range.
So a laser hits everything in its path, up to its maximum range or until it reaches an obstacle. Watch out for your allies!
A laser with a range of 2 to 7 will not hit the cell right in front of you. But it will hit every cell at a range of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 in the direction you aimed at.
These cells are drawn in red in the image below:
Careful: the first cell must be empty (no obstacle, but no leek either), otherwise you can't shoot. Firing at cell 3 won't change the beam. But if there is an obstacle on the cell at range 5, the shot stops there.
Lasers are not subject to the same distance restriction as regular AoEs. Whatever the distance, the damage is the same.
