[Update 3.02] The Glowing Saber, every reported bug fixed, and a button to explain the chat
Hi everyone!
3.02 is mostly a big cleanup: since 3.01, more than 250 bugs have been fixed, and every report on the forum has been handled. Your feedback is behind almost every line of this update, thanks to everyone who took the time to write it :)
And to celebrate, a new weapon: the Glowing Saber! The other new features come after, in a smaller format. Full details here: https://leekwars.com/release/3.02
The Glowing Saber
- A new legendary level 248 weapon: the Glowing Saber (12 TP, range 1, 120 to 140 damage). Its blade takes your leek's colors (plain, gradient or striped for patterned skins) and ignites when you pick it up. Three twirls, and the target is Amputated: it drops its weapon and can't hold one for a turn, it will have to equip it again afterwards.
Bugs first
- Trophies: we reworked the rules that weren't fair.
- Bloody, Sanguinary and Murderer now only count enemies killed (no suicides, allies or summons), and so does the "Kills" fun ranking.
- One-turn damage trophies (Take that, In your face, O_o, Devastating…) only count hits dealt to an enemy during its own turn. Trophies already earned stay yours.
- A defeat resets the win streak to zero: no more negative streaks unlocking Resistant or Indestructible.
- Boosted bulbs no longer unlock trophies for their summoner, and Chest, Loot and Treasure finally read the right counter.
- Levels and talent: you level up as soon as XP reaches the threshold (teams included), team talent goes to the right composition and no longer drops below 0, and reaching level 301 now gives a single crown and golden potion.
- Fights: two simultaneous fights of a leek no longer overwrite each other's registers, the chest hunt stops when no leek is left alive, and the viewer respects obstacles for jumps and pushes.
- Tournaments: separate counters if you hold both sides, an unplayed round is no longer counted as a draw, and a composition in the middle of a tournament can no longer unregister.
- Forum and chat: correct message and solved counters, right links in vote notifications, no more "#null" in team mentions.
- LeekScript: dozens of AIs that didn't compile now do (nullable types,
big_integer, x! += 1…), and moveToward, getCellToUseChipOnCell, mapEvery, deleteRegister & co. behave like their docs.
- And dozens of crashes, translations and doc pages fixed.
For programmers
- The
??, ??= and ?. operators no longer evaluate twice, and ** costs 7 operations (like pow()). An if in a method with optional parameters also costs fewer operations. The cost always goes down, never up.
moveTowardCell gets as close as possible to an obstacle, moveToward* with a null target no longer moves, a resurrected bulb plays right after its summoner.
() => 2 is accepted, and Python AIs are more stable at peak hours.
- New constants
WEAPON_GLOWING_SABER, STATE_AMPUTATED and USE_INVALID_STATE: useWeapon returns the latter when your entity is amputated, and so does summon when it is sterile (instead of USE_FAILED).
- Heads-up: a few behavior changes can affect old AIs, mostly
moveToward*, the double call of ?? and what summon returns when Sterile. If an AI behaves differently, tell us on the forum.
New features
- Explain a message in the public chat (FR/EN): a button shows an explanation under the bubble, handy for a joke, irony or an acronym you don't know.
- Editor: live preview of Markdown files, side by side, and Mermaid diagrams (also in the forum and the encyclopedia).
- Copy the code of a block in one click, everywhere.
- Forum: redesigned search with filters (status, priority, lock), avatars and participants on topics, an "Unplayable" priority.
- Notifications with their author's avatar, and a dialog that presents the compensations you receive.
- Market: buy weapons and chips used in crafting recipes by 10; "Custom" API keys to pick endpoints one by one.
- Balance: Superinfection detonates 25% of the poisons' sum, instead of 50%.
- Also: the up arrow edits your last chat message, the light theme of the v3 design is reworked, names refuse invisible characters.
Thanks to the contributors
This update also includes player contributions on GitHub: XpliciT (the viewer's “My actions” option), FdHP (TP/MP details in the report, “Custom” history period, forum filters), Portevent (clover animation), dulphMain (clover no longer draggable) and erwan-joly (lighter browser console). Many thanks to them :)
A shiny saber and a squeaky clean forum: I'm happy with this one :) More is coming soon, see you in the garden!
